Car Accident App - Fill In the Accident Statement Online

Published on: July 5, 2026

EASF is a free app for filling in the European Accident Statement after a car accident. Both drivers complete the form on their own phones, and the signed PDF is delivered to both by email. There are two modes: joint completion by two drivers and a solo mode for incidents involving only one driver. No registration and no app store download.

Why install the app in advance

A paper form is rarely in the glove box, and searching for a template at the scene only delays the process. With the app already installed, the statement can be completed right away:

  • the form guides you through every required field,
  • the details of both drivers, vehicles, and policies go into a single document,
  • the accident sketch and photos of the damage are added straight from the phone,
  • both parties sign on the screen,
  • the finished PDF is emailed to both drivers once the statement is complete.

EASF mirrors the European Accident Statement - the same standardised form insurers hand out on paper, used across all EU countries. The document is accepted for claims whether the accident happens at home or abroad.

How it works at the scene

  1. Start a session. The app shows a QR code; the other driver scans it with their camera and joins in their phone’s browser, with nothing to install.
  2. Each driver fills in their side. Changes sync in real time, and each driver sees the form in their own language - 27 European languages are supported.
  3. Both sides sign the document. Each driver receives the PDF by email, ready to send to their insurer electronically - no printing or scanning.

For damage with no second driver involved (a fence, a road sign, a parked car), the form can be completed one-sided and the PDF is still generated.

How EASF compares with national accident apps

Most official accident apps are single-country tools: France’s e-constat auto only works when both vehicles are registered and insured in France, Belgium’s Crashform is built around Belgian insurers, and UK fleet apps collect evidence for one company rather than producing the joint European form. None of them cover an accident abroad or with a foreign driver.

EASF is neutral and European by design: no account, no national ID scheme, no tie to any insurer - and the other driver can fill in their side in any of 27 languages while you read yours in English.

Installation without the App Store

EASF is a progressive web app: it installs directly from the website to the home screen, with no store, no account, and almost no storage used. The install module is below - Android shows an Install button, and iPhone gets a short “Add to Home Screen” guide.
